Whether you constantly hit the roads of Lakeland or drive a few times a week, you rely on your car to get around town. That said, it’s important to keep up with your car’s basic maintenance so you can continue to drive safely for many miles to come!

If you drive a Chevy, you might be wondering about the service schedule. When do you need to bring your vehicle in for an oil change? Or how often should your car battery be checked? Find out below from the service center at Stingray Chevrolet Bartow!

Chevrolet Service Intervals

How regularly should you take your vehicle into our Chevy service center for a tune-up near Mulberry? As we mentioned earlier, your Chevrolet service schedule will depend on the model you drive. For specifics about when to get a Chevy oil change for your particular model, check your owner’s manual. Here are some general recommendations for how often to service your Chevy:

Every 7,500 Miles

After you’ve put 7,500 miles on the odometer, you’ll be due for the foundational Chevrolet service interval. This interval is performed every 7,500 miles, often concurrently with other intervals and includes a Chevy oil change, as well as:

  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection
  • Vehicle fluid replacement
  • Oil and filter change

Every 15,000 Miles

Every 15,000 miles, you’ll receive all of the above services, as well as the following:

  • Brake fluid replacement
  • Cabin air filter change
  • Inspection of the suspension, exhaust, and cooling systems
  • Parking brake adjustment

Every 30,000 Miles

The 30,000-mile interval includes all previously mentioned services, while adding on a spark plug replacement. Spark plugs help to ignite the fuel in your combustion chamber, and if you let yours expire, you risk decreased performance, fuel economy, and misfires.
